Monthly Potluck

What, you might ask, is a potluck? You may notice in the bulletin that we often have church potlucks. Potlucks are a wonderful opportunity for everyone (members and non-members alike) to get together and share some wonderful home-cooked food and fellowship. When a potluck is scheduled, a sign-up sheet will appear in the church foyer. Each family is asked to sign up to bring 2 dishes (each enough to feed 12 people). Several ladies volunteer to assist in the kitchen on the day of the potluck, warming up and dishing up things that others have brought. It can be a challenge to plan what you bring so that it is cooked or warmed, but some suggestions include using a slow cooker, or cook your food and then leave a note on it if it should be warmed, either in the microwave or a conventional oven, and for how long. Once everything is laid out, everyone lines up, with our pastors first, to share the food. If you need some ideas of how to participate, feel free to call the church office. Come! Join in the fun!
