Brief info
Mark serves as the Senior Pastor at Highland Community Church. He is a 1999 graduate of Eastern Illinois University (BA in History) and he and his wife Shelley are 2002 graduates of Moody Bible Institute (MA in Spiritual Formation and Discipleship). They have 4 children, Luke, Grace, Faith, and Samuel. Pastor Mark brings 12 years of experience as a youth pastor in Tucson; an associate pastor in Waterloo, Iowa; and senior pastor in Savage, Minnesota.
Pastor Mark believes that the Bible is the very Word of God and contains everything we need to know about Him and to follow Him.
From the pulpit, he focuses on preaching through one book of the Bible at a time so that we can all learn from a given book in its original context. He and the leadership team seek to provide an environment where people can be authentic in worshipping God as they walk through life's struggles together. In addition, he seeks to lead our people to share the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ with those who are not yet following Him.
